St Audoen’s Park

by G Finan
The children from our school collaborated with DDC and two Irish artists to create the fantastic artwork in the new park at St Audoen’s Church.
The two artists, Fionnuala and Kev came into our school to discuss what might work in the new park. The children from 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th class shared great ideas around dragons and old Irish saints. They children then got to paint their finished ideas in the park with the help of the artists. The results are amazing and we’re all so proud that our children got to be a part of the process.
Make sure you visit the park to see these great works of art in person.

RT @poetryireland: Part of our Poet in Residence's work is engaging with schools to help foster creativity and a love of poetry in children…
RT @jenoconnell: I would happily spend my days interviewing children: the @StAudoensNS kids here are wise, sharp, funny. Thanks to @Kathlee…
