St. Audoen's Open Day 2016
by

On Wednesday, 28th April, we were delighted to hold our annual Open Day. We invited local businesses and professionals into our school for a guided tour and exhibition of our current projects.

Sixth class pupils and Student Council members gave tours of St Audoen’s, showing our visitors the many different facilities within our school including our Kitchen area, Interactive Resource Rooms, Playground, IT Room, Music Room, Library, Peer Mediation area and our Multi Sensory Rooms. The tour concluded with tea and coffee in the hall where we displayed information regarding the many learning programmes running in St Audoen’s including Reading Recovery, First Steps, Maths Recovery, Ready Set Go Maths, Maths for Fun and The Incredible Years Programme. There were demonstrations from the Gardening Club, Lego Club and Science Club. Also on show was information about our Breakfast Club, After School Club and our much loved Reading Club. It was great to have so many of our valued volunteers join us on this day.

We are currently fundraising for development of our Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Play Therapy programmes to support all our pupils in reaching their full potential. Visitors were shown the current range of therapeutic resources. It is our hope to develop this area in the near future.

It was a pleasure to welcome our good friends into the school to showcase the progress made and to share with them our on-going projects. We really enjoyed hosting this Open Day and are thankful for all the support given.

Many thanks from the pupils and staff of St. Audoen’s.
