Principal’s Message;

As the school year comes to a close, we can remind ourselves of what a super year we have had and how much we have achieved. We have wonderful students, parents and teachers – what a great school!

Together we’ve learned much and shared experiences that will long remain with us in the years to come. The strength of our community and wholehearted passion to make our school a wonderful place of learning for our children primarily, but for all of us, makes St Audoen’s a very special place.

To those of you who are leaving us for new places and adventures, we wish you all the best. Congratulations to our 6th Class who are moving onto a new stage in their lives!

We will finish up for this school year on Friday June 27th at 12 noon. We will see you all for the new school year on Wednesday August 27th.

On behalf of all the staff and myself, I wish you all a very happy and safe Summer Holiday!

FAMILY DAY; We would like to invite all of our Mams, Dads and Grandparents to come and visit us tomorrow, Tuesday June 10th at 10.30am. We will have tea and coffee in the hall, or outside if it’s sunny, after you visit your child/grandchild’s class. Our 6th class are going to be busy baking and will have a cake sale on Tuesday during your visit.

SPORTS DAY; We will have our Annual Sports Day this Friday, June 13th on the green at Island Street. The children do not come to school that morning but meet at the site at 10.30am. The Sports Day will be over at approx 1pm and children should be collected from the sports field. Let’s hope for sunshine; bring along a picnic and get training! Mam’s and Dad’s will be racing too….

CHAMPION DADS; We were so proud of our Dad’s & Friends last Friday, 30th May when they won the St Catherine’s Dad’s Soccer Blitz. They defeated all the other schools from Dublin 8 and were delighted to bring home the cup to St Audoen’s. The cup has pride of place in our school – Well done Dads!

IMPORTANT INFO; Please ask the office for a copy of the following, if you have not already received one; the School Calendar for 2014/2015 and the details you will need for the Book Rental Scheme and our Uniform Policy. When paying your child’s fees please ensure to put your payment in an envelope with your child’s name clearly on the front.

Please try to plan your holidays around the school calendar as your child’s school attendance is so important.
