Breakfast Together Week 5th – 11 October 2015

On Wednesday October 7th St Audoen’s NS will hold a breakfast event and raise much needed funds for Childline.

Childline is over 90% funded by the public so our support is invaluable to this great organisation. The Childline phone service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Childline receives hundreds of thousands of calls every year. These are answered by volunteers and staff who are trained to listen and understand young people. Young people under the age of 18 contact the service with a wide range of reasons such as mental health issues, bullying, family worries or for a well needed chat.

On Wednesday Room 10 will take over the Breakfast Club from 8am and provide breakfast for all who wish. We will be asking parents and children to give a donation in return for their breakfast and we will also be giving out boxes of Cheerios. Afterwards we have challenged Room 10 to prepare breakfast for the staff! Staff will also be asked to dig deep and donate for their breakfast. All proceeds will be sent to Childline. Well done to Mr McAdam and all in Room 10 for helping to support this great cause.

We are very proud that four of St Audoen’s students were involved in making the advert for this campaign; ‘Breakfast Explained’. Well done to Mark, Robyn, Sam and Lexi, we are so proud of you. Click on the link below to see the ad:
